New York’s Composer/Songwriter CHRIS IANUZZI makes a fantasy world of music and visuals that is highly recommended instead of blowing your money on either therapy or narcotics!

Ianuzzi’s interest in electronic music never waned after the sound of a Moog synthesizer at a music store triggered an earlier childhood hallucinogenic memory first experienced during a dental procedure. Highlights from his formal music training include a performance for the American Society for University Composers (in which he played a piano using a chisel, rubber wedge and processed the sound through an ARP 2600). For a number of years Ianuzzi served as an Electronic Creative associate with the legendary Suzanne Ciani and her Electronic Music Boutique for Sound Design and Scoring. Chris’ early years also included work with Vangelis and ex-Tangerine Dream member Peter Baumann as well as work on Billboard chart-topping projects such as “AEIOU” by Freeze and “Way of Life” by The Puppets. During this time, Ianuzzi developed his song writing skills. Ianuzzi also recorded two albums with the band Sluka (Meldac Records) while touring Japan and Europe.

When he returned to New York he scored for visual works in all media, including orchestral music for the HBO “Earth to Moon” series and creating sound design and musical composition for large interactive environments.

After 2000, Ianuzzi started an electronic pop performance project called I, Synthesist and created 3 albums, and some EP’s.

Today, Chris is making electronic instrumental music and working with a brain interface for his modular synthesizer. This interface sends EEG signals that are transformed into musical gestures. It also creates immersive environmental soundscapes.

Though he has become a bit more grounded since his childhood psychedelic musical awakening, Ianuzzi’s creativity remains a driving force. Using classic analog modular synthesizers in conjunction with the most current digital technologies, his goal is to make modern music that includes his unmistakable sound.

JACKIE NEON is a graduate of The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Parsons The New School of Design. She is an artist and designer based in New York City who creates soundscapes using field recordings. Inspired by psychoacoustics; perception and identity are prominent themes in her work. The recordings she uses are altered and assembled to create a space where the sounds become characters in an environment interacting with each other.

STUNT is the alias of Brooklyn based electronic musician Jesse Hardy. He has less interest in the sounds of things, more in the sounds that are things.

SOFY YUDITSKAYA (@horusVacui) is a media artist and educator working with video, interactivity, projections, code, paper, and salvaged material. Her work focuses on techno-occult rituals, street performance, and participatory art. Sofy’s performances enact and reframe hegemonies, she works with materials that exemplify our deep entanglement with petro-culture and technology’s affect on consciousness. She has worked on projects at Eyebeam, 3LD, the Rubin Museum, the Netherlands Institute voor Media Kunst, ARS Electronica, Games for Learning Institute, The Guggenheim (NYC) and has taught workshops at GAFFTA, and MoMA. She is a member of the Fast Food Video collective and the organizer of the NYC Patching Circles.
