Testimonial of Anna Perrone

A theater in Florence, the music band of the Guardia di Finanza, the voice of the Maestro and the words of the President…

That is how my journey at ABF began.

Although shy, a year ago I decided to knock on their door. I was welcomed into a big family, with a smile and just as much kindness, then as now. Each one of them has taught me something, helping me to grow and understand the job of voluntary work that is as demanding as it is rewarding.

In seeing the positive outcome of my work, I have learned the most important lesson: helping your neighbor fills your heart with gratitude. Day after day, I notice how much determination and passion each person dedicates to reaching magnanimous goals and this drives me to do the same.

As Maestro Bocelli says, “each one of us has the right to be able to improve ourselves” and that is what ABF represents for me.

I hope it is the beginning of a long journey together.

Anna
