WHEAT Project Haiti

Andrea Bocelli Foundation supports in Haiti the following two projects:

– a water truck which brings clean, potable water to the least served areas of the city six days a week, six times a day, providing 18 millions liter of water a year along with a great deal of hope and health in these areas;

– running costs of 3 street schools: the St.Augustin (600 children) in Abricots, Jeremie, Ste Philomene (243 children) in Kenscoff, Notre Dame Du Rosaire (320 children) in Croix des Bouquets . Each student receives as an incentive packs of 4 kgs of pasta to bring at home to their family. The pasta is produced in the professional training center.

The St. Luke Foundation is an Haitian run organization that provides education, medical care and dignified humanitarian outreach to over 150,000 people per year through life giving programs that employ over 900 Haitian staff. Father Rick Frechette, an American priest and doctor in the front line, started the work of the St. Luke mission in collaboration with an inspired group of young Haitian leaders, who, together, envisioned a different path forward for their country.
